about the weather
Mount Archangel, hidden among the dense forests of Adjara, follows the rhythm of a humid subtropical climate. It rarely gets cold here in winter—temperatures hover around five to ten degrees Celsius—but rain and fog often shroud the summit. Occasionally, light snow may fall, but it doesn’t linger long, giving way to damp air and moist soil.

In summer, the mountain is bathed in greenery. It’s cooler here than in the lowlands, but the humidity remains high. Temperatures hover around thirty degrees in July, and sudden showers refresh the air. Climbing the mountain at this time means escaping the summer heat, finding coolness in the shade of centuries-old trees, and enjoying the endless views.
People online say it’s a place of power. We were just looking for a new trail that we hadn’t walked before. To take a walk in the woods, tone our muscles, get some fresh air, and take a break from the city—just like always. There’s a beautiful view from the top, and there’s also a nice rock formation.
