A two-day trip
December 28–29

Winter in Svaneti
for New Year's
We're going on a winter getaway with a small, cozy group. We'll take walks around town, go to the sauna in the evening, and go hiking the next day. We'll enjoy the winter, the snow, delicious local cuisine, and panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks.

We've put together this tour for those who want to experience a winter wonderland but don't want to go skiing; you can find tours that include skiing in the itinerary.

Program:
Day One
We'll leave Batumi at 7–8 a.m. The departure time is approximate and may be adjusted. Along the way, we'll enjoy the incredible views from the road. We'll stop for lunch along the way.
Day One
We arrive in Mestia, have lunch, and check into our apartments. Then we go for a walk around the village; if you’d like, you can visit the museums. We’ll admire and take photos of the snow-capped Svan towers, and you can stop by the shops to pick up some snacks and authentic Svan salt.
The evening of the first day
We're heading to the bathhouse on Mount Khatsvali. We'll enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains, including views of Mount Ushba.
Afterward, we'll have dinner, and back at the apartment, we'll have tea with some delicious cupcakes.
Day Two
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Heshkili scenic swings. Then we’ll take the cable car up to the summit.
We’ll go hiking along the ridge, enjoying panoramic views of the mountains and Mestia.
We’ll head back down, have lunch at a scenic café, and head home to Batumi.
New Year's Spirit
Together, we'll try to create a New Year's atmosphere; we'll eat tangerines, everyone will receive a little gift, and we'll spend a cozy evening at home enjoying tea and pleasant conversation.
We'll be living in cozy apartments
Accommodations are in double rooms, with options for twin or double beds;
We'll have our own kitchen in the apartment.

Level 1 difficulty—what does that mean?

You can tackle these trails even without hiking experience, but you need to be in good physical shape.

The distance of the route will depend on weather conditions and the amount of snow along the way.
