What is Mandarinooba

Mandarinooba is a warm, sunny mandarin harvest festival that takes place every year in Adjara and Guria from late November through December. During this time, the entire region is filled with the scent of citrus, and farmyards turn into lively fairs: baskets of mandarins, homemade sweets, jams, warm tea, and music.

During Mandarinooba, you don’t just watch—you participate: you taste the fresh harvest straight from the tree, learn how mandarins are grown, take photos among the brightly colored fruits, and experience the atmosphere of a true Georgian rural festival—you become part of it.

We offer two tours. One is for women only, and the other is a family tour with a mixed group.

We'll leave Batumi around 9 a.m.
We’ll head to a cozy old orchard located in a small village in Guria, not far from Ozurgeti.
Next to the orchard is a restored house that has witnessed many interesting events; it’s cozy and warm in its own right, and we’ll enjoy its comfort while we drink tea.

You’ll pick mandarins straight from the tree—they’re sweet and fragrant. Yana, the organizer and gardening enthusiast, will explain how citrus fruits are grown and why the local mandarins are so delicious.
Mandarin Orange Harvest
As always, we’ve got everything covered: we’ll provide you with gloves and a tool for picking, and we’ll explain the proper way to pick them.
Everyone will pick their own mandarins and take them home.
We’ll also pick some mandarins for jam.
Tea Time and Jam
We’ll gather at the house to take part in a workshop on making mandarin jam—so it turns out just like a Georgian grandma’s!

We’ll make the jam together, and everyone will fill their own jar to take home.

And we’ll happily enjoy some of our creation with a cup of fragrant mountain herb tea and a delicious croissant.
In a cozy atmosphere, without rushing, enjoying great conversations and the spirit of peace and country-style comfort!

Feeling happy and content, we return to Batumi around 8:00 p.m.

Our itinerary has been carefully planned down to the last detail, but nature has its own way of things. Some parts of the route may be rearranged depending on the weather and other factors—so that each destination is revealed to us in the best possible light.

This flexibility allows us to make the trip even more comfortable and enriching!

Level 1 difficulty—what does that mean?


You can hike these trails even without any hiking experience, but you need to be in good physical shape. The trail isn't very long and doesn't involve a significant elevation gain.

But don't forget that this is still a hike in the mountains.
