Mount Sakornia, at 2,750 meters above sea level, is the highest point in Bakhmaro and the second-highest peak in the Meskheti Range.
We'll climb it at a steady but brisk pace, take a few breaks, and have lunch on the mountain. Afterward, we'll head back down to the car, enjoy some celebratory tea and desserts, and drive home.
General route:
Distance: 15 km
Elevation gain: 900 m; elevation loss: 900 m.
"Medium difficulty"—what does that mean?
You can tackle these trails even without hiking experience, but you need to be in good shape. The third challenge is more technical, as the trail has a fairly steep incline. It’s due to the terrain rather than the length of the trail.
I need a good pair of shoes with non-slip soles.
