Get ready for a real adventure! Imereti isn’t just a region—it’s a treasure trove of caves, with dense green forests and a pleasant, warm climate. It offers amazing views—from quiet valleys to rocky plateaus with grottoes, sinkholes, and underground rivers.
As usual, we’ll venture off the beaten path to a secluded cave, where the silence is broken only by the dripping of water from the ancient vaults. And the Tsutskhvati Cave is striking in its scale and shapes—ancient and multi-layered, as if created by nature itself for those seeking the unknown.

We'll leave Batumi at 8 a.m., and the trip will take about 3 hours. We'll see some beautiful scenery along the way.

The cave doesn't have a name, but its interior features a very interesting rock formation. It's very well-preserved. Our naturalist guide will tell us about the minerals we'll encounter and what makes caves so fascinating in general. Let’s take a look at the bats together—they’re sitting quietly on the ceiling. We’ll examine the structure of stalactites and stalagmites and the different types of dripstone formations.

Tsutskhvati Cave
This cave has many different entrances and exits, as well as 13 levels. It was once home to ancient human ancestors and cave bears. We’ll walk through several cave chambers, observe various rock formations, and perhaps spot some bats.
Our naturalist guide will lead the tour, explaining the cave’s unique features, the minerals and formations found there, and how cave ecosystems function. In addition to the caves, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive and the surrounding natural beauty.

Returning Home
After we’ve enjoyed the beauty of the caves and the lush forest and had some tea with delicious cupcakes, we’ll head home.

You can hike these trails even without any hiking experience, but you need to be in good physical shape. The trail isn't very long and doesn't involve a significant elevation gain.
But don't forget that this is still a hike in the mountains.

You'll need sturdy footwear—non-slip sneakers that provide good support.
We recommend bringing hiking poles. Once you've booked the tour, we'll help you pack so you don't forget anything. For the cave, you can bring rubber boots or shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

If you live along the route, we'll drop you off near your home. The final stop is the meeting point for the route.
